PSU Liberal Arts students win national video contest promoting Thailand’s multicultural image
Students from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University — Fahmee Sani, Puttri Man-aree, and Asma Hayida-oh — won first prize in a national video clip contest organized by the Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The contest invited young people aged 15 to 22 to submit video clips under the theme “Thailand as a Muslim-Friendly Destination.” The project aimed to present Thailand as an open and inclusive multicultural society, while highlighting its readiness in halal tourism, business opportunities, and the growth potential of Thailand’s halal industry.
The award ceremony was held on April 30, 2026, with the students receiving a cash prize of 30,000 Baht.
This project reflects the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ role in promoting understanding and confidence in Thailand as a peaceful multicultural society. It also provides an important platform for young people to share positive stories about Thailand with international audiences.
This achievement is another source of pride for the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Prince of Songkla University, demonstrating the potential of students to use modern media creatively and meaningfully to support Thailand’s image in tourism, the economy, and the halal industry on the global stage.
