PSU enhances staff capacity through workshop on academic promotion preparation
Prince of Songkla University, through its Human Resources Division, organized a workshop titled “Preparing Academic Work for Academic Promotion” on April 20, 2026, at the Office of the President. The workshop aimed to strengthen knowledge, understanding, and practical approaches for academic staff preparing for academic advancement.
The event was presided over by the Chairman of the University Council, with welcoming remarks delivered by the President of the University, and a report presented by the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Udomphon Puetpaiboon Vice President for Human Resources and Special Affairs. Members of the academic promotion committee and distinguished experts also participated, sharing insights and experiences.
Key sessions included a lecture on “The Role of AI and Ethics in Enhancing Academic Work Quality,” as well as presentations on the criteria and procedures for academic promotion to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels. Discussions also addressed important considerations and common pitfalls in submitting academic work, along with guidance from experienced committee members.
The workshop further featured interactive group sessions across three disciplines: Health Sciences, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences and Humanities. These sessions provided participants with opportunities for in-depth discussion, consultation, and personalized guidance from experts.
