PSU advances program quality assurance, welcomes AUN-QA Assessment Panel for the 511th evaluation




Prince of Songkla University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of the University, along with executives and staff, welcomed the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) assessment panel for the 511th program-level evaluation. The on-site assessment was conducted at the Office of the President, PSU, from April 7–9, 2026, with the aim of enhancing academic standards in alignment with ASEAN quality assurance frameworks.



This evaluation covered four academic programs from three faculties:
1.    Doctor of Philosophy in Research Methodology and Data Analytics, Faculty of Science and Technology 
2.    Bachelor of Arts Programme in English, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
3.    Bachelor of Science Program in Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine 
4.    Master of Nursing Science Program in Midwifery, Faculty of Nursing




The President stated that PSU remains committed to ensuring the quality of its graduates in response to the evolving global landscape. This commitment extends beyond policy and is reflected through concrete actions, with clearly defined plans to elevate program standards to meet international benchmarks.



Over the past four years, the university has continuously implemented AUN-QA assessments across multiple campuses. To date, a total of 26 programs have been accredited under the AUN-QA framework, demonstrating PSU’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence and quality development.



The President further noted that this evaluation represents a collaborative effort between the Pattani and Hatyai campuses, marking another important step in strengthening inter-campus cooperation and ensuring consistent quality standards across the university.



The assessment will conclude with a closing session on April 9, 2026, at the Faculty of Medicine, where an overview of the evaluation process and key findings will be presented.


Participation in this AUN-QA assessment reflects PSU’s strong commitment to continuous program improvement, reinforcing confidence in its academic standards and advancing the university toward international excellence within the ASEAN community.
