First time in the World’s Top 100: PSU #1 jointly in Thailand for Hospitality & Leisure Management
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) has been ranked among the world’s leading universities in five subject areas. In 2026, PSU was ranked in one broad subject area, Life Sciences & Medicine, at 451-500 globally, and in five outstanding specific subject areas. The university’s best-performing subject was Hospitality & Leisure Management, ranked 51-100 in the world and joint No. 1 in Thailand. The other four ranked subjects were Agriculture & Forestry, Medicine, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, announced on 25 March 2026.
The results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 are as follows:

Life Sciences & Medicine: ranked 451-500 globally
In 2025, PSU was ranked 501-550 in this subject area.
Specific Subject Areas
Hospitality & Leisure Management: ranked 51-100 globally and joint No. 1 in Thailand
Agriculture & Forestry: ranked 201-250 globally and No. 5 in Thailand
Medicine: ranked 501-550 globally and joint No. 5 in Thailand
Chemistry: ranked 601-700 globally and joint No. 6 in Thailand
Biological Sciences: ranked 651-700 globally and No. 5 in Thailand

QS World University Rankings by Subject use a set of indicators with different weightings for each subject. Not all indicators are applied to every subject area, depending on the relevance and availability of data in each field.
