PRIDE OF PSU 2026: honoring those who bring value and recognition to the university

Prince of Songkla University recently held the “PRIDE OF PSU 2026” ceremony under the theme “PSU Pride: Brilliance Blue,” celebrating the university’s foundation day, which falls annually on March 13. The event aims to honor faculty members, staff, and students whose contributions have created tangible impact and benefit to society.

The ceremony was held on March 13, 2026, at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, PSU. The event featured opening remarks by the President, with congratulatory messages delivered by the Chairman of the University Council, and a report presented by the Vice President for Research and Innovation.

This year’s event recognized 86 award recipients across 9 categories, selected from more than 800 qualified individuals. The event was also organized as a low-carbon initiative, emphasizing efficient resource use and minimizing environmental impact, while being broadcast online to allow broader participation from the university community.

The Chairman of the University Council highlighted that “the value of PSU” extends beyond institutional reputation or academic success - it reflects the core spirit of PSU members who uphold the guiding principle of serving humanity and applying knowledge for the greater good.

The President of the university further emphasized that the event not only celebrates achievements but also reflects the university’s spirit, particularly demonstrated during the major southern flood crisis in November 2025, when the PSU community united to support affected communities through knowledge, innovation, and volunteer efforts.

The event featured a range of activities, including student musical performances, a video presentation titled “PRIDE OF PSU,” and the PSU Pride Talk session under the theme “The Value of PSU: Brilliance Beyond the Blue,” where distinguished speakers shared insights and experiences to inspire attendees.

Awards presented during the ceremony included The Blue Jacket 2026, recognition for researchers with the highest number of Scopus-indexed publications, outstanding and young outstanding faculty awards, distinguished staff awards, mentorship recognition, thesis advisory excellence awards, and outstanding student awards for the 2025 academic year.

Overall, PRIDE OF PSU 2026 stands as a significant platform that reflects the identity, pride, and values of Prince of Songkla University, while reinforcing its role in developing people, advancing knowledge, and serving society in a sustainable and meaningful way.
