PSU welcomes Prof. Dr. Khokiat Kengskool from Florida International University, USA
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Khokiat Kengskool from Florida International University (FIU), USA, during his visit from 9 to 10 June 2025.
On 9 June 2025, Dr. Khokiat met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU’s Phuket Campus, along with executives from the College of Computing and the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism. The meeting aimed to explore potential academic collaboration, particularly focusing on student exchange opportunities with FIU in the fields of computer engineering and hospitality and tourism management.
On the following day, at Hat Yai Campus, Dr. Khokiat was welcomed by PSU President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub and senior university executives. Discussions focused on renewing the collaboration between PSU and FIU. A formal signing ceremony was held to mark the establishment of an academic cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The partnership aims to foster student exchange at all levels, joint research efforts, and academic capacity building across various disciplines, including engineering, medicine, nursing, and other related fields.
Additionally, Dr. Khokiat visited the Faculty of Engineering, where he wholeheartedly offered guidance, and attentively shared insights with PSU students about academic opportunities at FIU.
This visit represents a meaningful step forward in strengthening the relationship between PSU and FIU, with a shared goal of enhancing education, research, and student development on a global scale.
