Prince of Songkla University Announcement: Lifelong Learning Policy

Prince of Songkla University (PSU), a leading educational institution, recognizes the importance of lifelong learning as part of its vision: “Driving sustainable development at the forefront of the world.” This aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Under the authority granted by Sections 34 and 39 of the Prince of Songkla University Act, B.E. 2559 (2016), PSU hereby issues the following Lifelong Learning Policy:

1.Promotion of Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All

PSU is committed to supporting inclusive, equitable, and fair lifelong learning opportunities for everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability immigration status or gender. Each campus will serve as a learning space, allowing external individuals to access university resources, participate in accredited courses, short-term training programs, and utilize the Credit Bank for accumulating credits. PSU MOOC and other modern digital resources will offer access to a diverse range of subjects without fees, ensuring convenience and accessibility.

2.Development of Academic and Innovation Leaders

PSU strives to cultivate personnel with academic and professional expertise capable of effectively imparting knowledge through theoretical and practical integration. This fosters individual development, well-being, and adaptability in a changing world, grounded in a multicultural society. These practices will be shared with society as best practices, with university units and partner organizations working collaboratively to oversee and integrate efforts.

PSU honors the commitment of Prince Mahidol of Songkla to benefit of mankind, embracing and creating a lifelong learning society inclusive of all genders, races, religions, abilities, and backgrounds.
