Collaborate with NGOs on climate adaptation
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) actively collaborates with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government agencies to advance climate adaptation strategies and community resilience.
On April 2, 2024, PSU representatives, Dr. Witawat Hemtanon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arisara Romyennern, and Dr. Plakorn Satsue, participated as part of the working team in the “Lessons Learned on Climate Change Adaptation Measures for Integration into the National Adaptation Plan (NAP)” workshop held in Songkhla Province.
The workshop was organized by UNDP Thailand Green, under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change and Environment, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, and Creative Plaza Co., Ltd..
This joint effort focused on building resilience to the impacts of climate change in marine and coastal areas along the Gulf of Thailand, emphasizing knowledge exchange, policy alignment, and community-based adaptation measures. Through its academic expertise and regional engagement, PSU contributes to the formulation of national adaptation frameworks and strengthens multi-sectoral partnerships for sustainable climate action.
